Cookies: what is set, and what is not
This site runs light on purpose. There is no advertising network on it, no social tracking pixel, no profiling and nothing sold or passed to a third party.
What follows is the whole list, which is short enough to read in a minute.
Strictly necessary
One small cookie remembers whether you have answered the consent banner, so that you are not asked again on every page. It holds nothing about you and nothing about what you looked at. It is set because the site would otherwise be unusable, and it is the only thing stored before you choose anything.
Measurement, only if you agree
If you accept, a single anonymous measurement cookie counts page views so we know which district pages are read and which are ignored. It records no name, no address and nothing you typed. If you decline, it is never set, and the site behaves exactly as it did before.
No analytics of any kind run before consent, which is what the law requires and also simply the right way round.
How long anything is kept
The consent cookie lasts six months. The measurement cookie lasts thirteen months and the aggregate counts behind it are kept for a year and then deleted. Nothing is retained longer because nothing needs to be.
Nothing you enter or send is ever placed in a web address, so no page you visit here carries a detail about you in its link.
Changing your mind
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes both cookies and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Refusing costs you nothing and changes nothing about the site or about a booking. If you would rather ask a question about this than read about it, the desk will answer it.
