About the photographs on this site

Glamour and lifestyle photography, shot in studios and in ordinary rooms, with the same woman appearing across a set in different light and different clothes. Nothing here is explicit, and there is no nudity anywhere on it. The register is closer to a portrait sitting than to anything else, and it is deliberately kept that way.

Faces are softened. That is a privacy measure the companions themselves ask for, and it applies across the whole site rather than to a few of them. Everything else in the frame, height, build, hair, the way somebody stands, is left alone.

Privacy of the kind that cannot be undone afterwards. The companions introduced here have careers, studies and families entirely separate from this work, and each is listed on the understanding that a face cannot be read off a thumbnail and matched to that other life. It is the condition of appearing at all rather than a stylistic preference, and it holds for every set on the site without exception.

The same reasoning governs what may be done with the images. They are not to be copied, stored, republished or searched in reverse, and no companion may be photographed, recorded or identified. An attempt at any of it ends the evening immediately under the conduct clause of the terms, and the fee for that booking is kept.

No stock photography. No images bought from an agency or lifted from somewhere else. No body reshaping, no slimming, no lengthening, no swapping one woman's face onto another's photograph. Nothing generated by a machine.

Light and colour are corrected the way any photographer corrects them, and a distracting background is sometimes cleaned up. That is the limit. If an image stopped being an accurate picture of the person, it would not be on the page.

Every set is reviewed as part of the same pass, and a set is replaced when it is a year old or when somebody changes her hair, her colouring or anything else that would make an arrival a surprise. A set that no longer matches is taken down rather than left up until somebody complains.

If what arrives at your door does not match what is on her page, tell the desk. It is treated as a serious problem, not as a matter of taste.

Every woman on On The Books gave written permission for her photographs to appear here, saw the page before it went up, and may have any image or the whole page taken down at any time without giving a reason. That request is acted on the same day.

Nobody's pictures appear on this site because a photographer owned them. They appear because she agreed, and that agreement can be withdrawn.

The photographs are not free to reuse. They are not to be copied to other sites, to listings, to social accounts or to advertising of any kind, and reuse is pursued when it is found.

If you have seen an image from this site somewhere it should not be, the desk would like to know. That kind of report has done more to protect the women here than anything else.
