The early twenties: ten women, and what the decade actually means here
Ten of the twenty eight are between twenty two and twenty four. The page is written about manner rather than about anything else: what somebody at that stage brings to three hours across a table, and what she has not yet bothered to learn to fake.
Chiefly it is energy and an absence of performance. Five of these ten live inside the district they cover, several take the latest starts on the whole list, and not one of them will pretend to be grander than she is, which turns out to be the most sophisticated thing about the page.

The late half of the page
Several of the ten are at their best after nine and say so. Luna will tell you that nothing good has ever happened to her at six o'clock. Bianka is no use at six and very good at eleven. Tiffany takes starts from ten onwards and lives four streets from the club she would take you to.
Soho is the natural home of that half of the page. Jasmin, Molly and Tiffany all live inside it, it is nine minutes across and open latest of anywhere in the zone, and a message at nine is realistic for ten. They will say plainly when it is not.
Fixed hours, and earlier starts
Angelika times a Mayfair evening better than the applications on your phone and runs it to the minute without mentioning the time. Lea wants seven o'clock and an old dining room in St James's, where the service is older than both of you and the evening slows down in the right way. Roxi asks for a firm start time rather than a window, because she plans her evening around it.
Lucy needs a start time and an end time and nothing else; everything in between can be decided on the pavement. Stacy is composed at twenty two in a way that takes most people a decade, and whether the start is early or late she wants it fixed rather than approximate.
